I know how hard it can be to find the right information to become a true professional in this field. I want to share with you the experience I've gained in my 20+ years as a tennis physical trainer.
Physical trainers have many responsibilities. The world of tennis is constantly changing and everything happens so fast. Whether you're just starting out in the profession or have a long history, I'm here to help. The quarterly workshops will be aimed at those who want to discover and practice tennis as well as those who already practice and want to improve and perfect their knowledge.
KNOWING THE ATHLETE
Physical trainers must get to know their athletes through evaluations and physical tests.
Testing the physical capabilities of athletes to know their effort capacity by analyzing and noting motor and specific qualities.
- Posture;
- Basic Physical Qualities (strength, speed, endurance, coordination, suppleness).
- Specific movement;
- Specific reaction speed;
- Specific strength.
TRAINING PLAN
Based on these physical tests, training programs are designed taking into account both the athlete's tournament planning and the current stage of the athlete:
