EVALUATIONS AND PHYSICAL TESTING

When talking about a personal fitness program, the tennis coach's information about methods used in previous and future tennis trainings, upcoming tournaments and biochemical analysis should be taken into account.

Based on these parameters a customized plan can be developed. Through online collaboration we stay in touch at all times. This way I will have a clear view of the progress during the training. Depending on the feedback received from the athlete the program can be easily adapted whether we are face to face or working remotely.

  • The programs are customized according to the level of each athlete (no predefined template, no copy/paste) and also according to the " MOMENT IN WHICH THE PLAYER STANDS " (in a tournament week, pre-tournament week or transition/post-tournament week);
  • Based on the chosen package, weekly micro-cycles with 3 or 5 weekly programs will be established. You can choose between training programs in PDF format or in PDF format with VIDEO support. The package pricing varies depending whether the package includes video demonstrations;
  • Weekly (weekend) telephone counselling is offered on each 'online program' package;
  • Upon request, evaluation (specific / game or tennis training) and physical testing can be done at the athlete's location.
  • The athlete is physical assessed and tested in a pre-determined period once every 3 or maximum 4 months spread over 3 or maximum 4 days with an additional cost for each day which is not included in the initial price of the "online programs";

DEVELOPING A CUSTOMIZED PLAN

Here are the steps in developing a personalised fitness plan and how it can help you:
EVALUATION

The first step in developing a personalised plan is to evaluate the player's current physical condition in order to determine their strengths and needs and to analyse their tennis game.Tennis specific movement elements:
  • direction changes;
  • positioning and retreating from different game situations;
  • reaction speed;
  • coordination;
  • specific strength.
EVALUATION
EVALUATION
(specific and non-specific tests used in the game of tennis referenced as timings and measurements against control rules)
PHYSICAL TESTING:
  • basic motor skills (speed, strength, endurance, coordination, mobility);
  • combined motor qualities (endurance force, endurance speed, explosive force).
SPECIFIC PHYSICAL TESTS:
  • Tennis specific movement elements;
  • Sideways movement, direction changes, specific strength, specific endurance, coordination and balance.
EVALUATION
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
The program will be based on the needs of the athlete evidenced in evaluation and testing.
The athlete's competitive programme should always be taken into consideration when developing the fitness plan.

OBSERVATIONS
Player evaluation and testing is carried out in person over a period of 4-5 days.

INTERACTIVE PROGRAMS

Programs are sent to you in PDF format via email or an instant messaging application (whatsapp, facebook messenger, telegram, skype).

The programs are structured according to: preparation stage, pre-competition or competition stage and describe in detail the order, duration and intensity of the exercises.

All exercises are designed according to the athlete's goals and competitive schedule.

VIDEO support programs. Package price varies for the package that also contains demonstration videos.

The type, duration and intensity of exercise are essential in physical training. Equally important is how the exercises are performed. That's why I've included relevant videos in the online programmes to help you improve the way you perform your fitness exercises.
